The Horizon 8000 has been engineered for extreme weather and rugged environments. It boasts a 3000mm waterproof rating on the fly and an 8000mm waterproof rating on the floor, and the internal canopy is DWR-treated, making it suitable for all-weather camping. The fly is made from siliconised ripstop nylon, and the floor is made from durable, waterproof polyester. The floor is roughly double the height of most tents on the market, which provides greater protection should a small stream develop underneath the tent during heavy rain. The layout of the tent makes it comfortable and convenient for two people, but it’s also suitable for solo missions. With a door and vestibule on both sides, you’ll have plenty of space for storing packs, dirty boots, and other items. The Horizon 8000 weighs only 2kg, but you have the option of leaving the tent inner behind and using the fly and footprint, which will save you about 0.7kg. The simple, strong singular pole system makes the tent fast and easy to put up and pack down. The Horizon 8000 is a tried and true adventure tent that will keep you dry, safe and comfortable in the wilderness. Learn more about the Horizon 8000 in our Tech Talk video below.
